BTS has successfully launched their world tour “ARIRANG” with three sold-out concerts at Goyang Stadium in Korea, drawing more than 132,000 fans from around the world.

Held on April 9, 11, and 12, the concerts marked the official beginning of a global tour that will span 34 cities and 85 stadium shows.

A Stage Inspired by Korean Heritage

For the first time in their career, BTS performed on a fully open 360-degree stage inside a large-scale stadium, accommodating over 40,000 fans per show.

At the center stood a pavilion inspired by Gyeonghoeru, a historic royal structure, transforming the stage into a shared cultural space rather than just a performance venue.

The stage design reflected Korean symbolism, with extensions inspired by the elements of the Taegeukgi (the Korean flag), creating a dynamic and immersive experience from every direction.

Tradition Meets Global K-pop

Throughout the performance, BTS incorporated traditional Korean elements in a modern way.

From Korean folk music and traditional sounds in the opening visuals, to performances inspired by traditional mask dance, Seungmu, and Ganggangsullae reinterpreted with LED choreography — the concert blended heritage with contemporary K-pop on a global scale.

The Energy of 132,000 ARMYs

On April 11 alone, more than 44,000 fans filled the stadium, welcoming BTS with powerful chants.

The group opened with live performances of “Hooligan,” “Aliens,” and “Run BTS,” setting an intense and emotional tone.

The concert concluded with new tracks from their latest album, including “Please” and “Into the Sun,” marking the beginning of a new era.

A Message from BTS

During the concert, RM shared a message that resonated deeply with fans:

“Even though we talk about change and a new era, what truly matters hasn’t changed. The most important thing is that the seven of us chose to continue this journey together — and that we sincerely think of you.”

As the members enter their thirties, BTS emphasized that their evolution is a conscious decision to continue their journey together for the long term.

Next Stop: Busan

Following the successful opening in Goyang, BTS will continue their world tour in Busan.
